What I like about Libsyn Podcast Hosting Service

Use promo code FRANZ

Libsyn

I’m Aaron Franz, host of The Age of Transitions, cohost of Uncle (the podcast) and Themes & Memes. Recently, I signed up to Libsyn’s affiliate advertising program. Libsyn is the podcast hosting service I have been using for several years, and this article is a quick synopsis of what I like about it, and why I would recommend it to any aspiring podcaster.

Ease of Use

Honesty this is the one simple reason to use Libsyn. It simply makes life easier. Just fill out all relevant info on your show – title, description, category, etc. Upload each episode’s audio file, enter it’s info, and your feed is up and running.

Libsyn features a “Destinations” tab where you can quickly add your podcast to a wide range of podcast services including Spotify, iHeartRadio, Google Play Music, and many more. You are also able to publish directly to social media accounts such as YouTube, Soundcloud and Tumblr. For instance, anytime I post a new episode of Uncle (the podcast), Libsyn automatically posts that episode to YouTube. Here is an example of one such show.

With Libsyn you don’t have to stress about configuring an RSS feed, finding a place to store your files, and all of the other headaches that come with the technical side of podcasting. It is well worth paying the monthly subscription fee to simply upload your files and be done with it.

I have been recommending Libsyn long before joining its affiliate program. It is a service I can honestly stand behind, and put my name to. That being said, my promo code is my name – FRANZ

Use the code to get up to 2 months of Libsyn podcast hosting for free. When you do, you are also supporting me, this website, and my podcasts. Thank you.
