Go there to find the podcast and other ways to support. Got the book Revolve Man’s Scientific Rise to godhood.
Paperback and ebook copies available of that. Thank you for buying them, for sharing them. Um, still happy about that book. At one point, maybe I’ll write another book because I’m proud of this one. I would like to write another one.
Maybe there’s a lot of things I’d like to do and that’s definitely one of them.
Make more videos is another one, but for the time being, bear with me. The age of transitions.com. Thank you. Uh, we’ve got the Patreon campaign. That’s a way to support the show. And there’s a couple other items in the shop at the age of transitions and the affiliate links. If you ever buy books, clink on my click on the link on my site that goes to bookshop.org. Please do remember that. That’ll help me out. And there’s the Libson coupon that nobody ever uses anyway, but that’s there. If you want to start a podcast, look into that.
Whatever.
So, thank you for listening and for being here. Happy to be here once again. missed last week, so apologies for that.
We’re back better than ever. Okay, we’re in the age of transitions as always.
Yeah, it’s the same old thing. Um, I’m going to uh for anybody who doesn’t know, is not aware,
my old YouTube channel, which I had from years ago, I forget. I could look real quick, but doesn’t really matter. It was over 10 years ago that I started it. It is back up and online.
So I I do do the Age of Transitions.
The live video version is available on the YouTube channel. So you can find that that’s at the age of transitions.
There’s you you’ll find it in all the posts, the link to the video, and you can go to the channel and subscribe to it if you care to. So that’s back up and running for what it’s worth.
Uh, YouTube is a whole interesting topic in and of itself that I’m not even going to bother with tonight, but other than to say the YouTube channel is there. I don’t really mention it that often. So,
I thought maybe just let’s mention the YouTube channel by name. And hey, guess what? I have a Twitter X account, too. Front Simulation. I don’t know. I don’t always mention that. if you want to follow that. Okay. The whole we know that the whole of internet and the whole of communication just about is these giant social media sites now. Everything’s fed through social media. We all do everything on social media. We’ve been forced into this coralled into this situation. I’m in there and I’m making my media there because there’s no other choice. We don’t have any other way out.
I have my website. Nobody’s going to find it.
uh especially if I’m not on the social media platforms uh linking back to it.
You’re like, “Hey, I also have a website. Check it out. Go to it.” And people I want to thank people because I know you make it there. I know people go to the website and it’s enough people that it makes a difference. But I’m just saying if I were to like somehow dedicate the Age of Transitions project to just the age of transitions.com, it’d be over. You can’t do it. Nobody does it. Nobody at any level does that because you can This is their world now.
And by they, I mean the masters of reality, which reality is a virtual reality. It’s where we are now. It’s where we live. It’s where we spend half of our day every day. If not the whole day, I mean, you could say the whole day because in the augmented reality sense, we’re always connected via our device, which we typically always have on our person.
This is the age of transitions. This is how we’re transitioning into the more um hard and fast and uh actual transhuman reality.
I mean, you listen to the transhumanist years ago when they were making their little pitch about how great the idea was. They would say that if you wear glasses, you’re a transhumanist. If you go to the dentist, you’re a transhumanist. If you have a uh hearing aid, you’re a transhumanist. Okay, you’re transhumanized by these things.
Okay, great. Yeah, I get your point. I’m not saying you’re wrong.
Excuse me. They were right in the point that they were making. Okay, whatever, I suppose. But
it’s it’s a whole lot of whatever. It’s insane. It’s crazy. We’re doing what we can. I’m trying to
I honestly I sometimes I don’t know what I’m even doing anymore because it’s it’s hard to say. We’re just continuing onward in the face of futility.
That’s okay. I I have the ability to say that. I don’t have really any expectations for this show. I’m not going to come out of the gates uh announce the age of transitions Friday, August 14th. This is your host, Aaron Fron, saving the world one podcast at a time. No, no, no, no, no. We’re not going to do that. We’re not going to pretend like we’re God’s gift to this.
We’re not going to pretend like we’re telling the truth and the whole truth.
And if you don’t tune into this show, you’re not going to have the truth.
We’re not going to do that. We’re not going to be unveiling any secrets. We’re not going to be exposing. We’re not going to be uh holding the elites to their crimes. are not going to be um doing anything that anybody says they’re doing on a QAnon message board. We’re we’re not doing these things. I’m just some guy that’s been making media for a long time. I was part of the truth movement 20 years ago.
Um and I in the 911 truth days I got my start in this online media creation. I I’ve been making media before that. I’ve always been making videos and animations and art. I’ve always been into art, but specifically video since high school. I’ve been making videos since then until now.
And part of it is a compulsive I need to be creating and making these things just because if I’m not, frankly, I’ll kind of go crazy, probably be a little cranky. I might not be a very nice person because I won’t have an outlet uh to, you know, just be creative and just making things. I I’m a bit of a busy body. I have to be making something at all times. I have to have some sort of project going or I’m frankly I will not be happy. I will not be a happy camper.
That’s just me. That’s just who I am. I don’t know why that is. I don’t know if it means anything.
Probably not. Just how I am. So, in case you didn’t know, oh, another thing on the personal note, a little bit of an update, the Age of Transition stickers, everybody who did request these to be mailed to them, I I have sent them all out, and there’s the possibility, I like how that catches the light there. Uh, there’s a possibility that they might not make it to you in the mail, but I haven’t got them returned to me. They do have my return address on them. So, they’ll come back to me if they didn’t make it. So, as far as I know, everything’s cool. So, you should have either already gotten the stickers or they’re on their way to you.
In addition, I will put out the call once again if anybody wants these, especially if you’re within the States.
I I ema I mailed Sorry, snail mailed a package to somebody in Canada and that did cost me something extra. I’d sent one of those out. I don’t know if I want to send another international package, honestly. Expenses are getting higher all the time. I didn’t mind sending that one, but I can’t be sending too many.
Um, and that was your reward for reaching out to me first. How about that? There’s a little I don’t offer enough prizes on this show. I need to offer more prizes, more freebies, more giveaways. What the hell am I thinking?
I’m I’m trying I’m trying to learn the ways of doing podcasts and making media and retaining audiences and things like this. I’m trying stickers. This is a way to promote the show, too.
Look, I’m promoting the show. Ain’t this cool? It is a nice sticker. These are quality. These are from sticker guy up in Reno, Nevada. Still going making quality vinyl stickers. that reflective surface with black screen printed ink done by hand. The right way, okay? The old way, the right way, the DIY old punk rock style way.
If you live in the States and you want some of these, email me with a mailing address. I will mail some to you. I got some stamps. I can send them out now.
Thank you for listening, everybody. So many stories, so much to talk about.
Uh I’m going to start by just going into a news story here. Let me pull up uh here it is. Here’s the image for it.
We’re going to take a quick look at this and see if we can make anything of this.
See if this can make any kind of sense whatsoever.
It’s tough, but we’re going to do our best. Title of the article. Private intelligence firms are selling dossas on AI and data center critics.
Along with federal law enforcement agencies, private companies are now surveilling opponents of big tech.
This is from prospect.org, which is the American Prospect. I’m trying to think if I know anything of this website. Let me see if I can pull up. Here’s the link right here. Um, is that the surviving uh element of American Prospect magazine?
Probably. Uh, let me see. I’m going down to the bottom. Support the Prospect. The American Prospect Incorporated powered by News Pack.
Uh, I don’t know. It sounds familiar to you, Chuck. You know this one? Well, American Prospect magazine was a conservative uh publication for many many years uh you know in the regular world but pre- internet right like I remember uh the height of it uh somewhere in like n somewhere between 91 and ’94 was the height of their like distribution as a physical magazine. Uh but they continued on and they recruited many uh prominent conservative commentators if I remember correctly. Let me look this up here. Here. Actually, I’m on the about page. I’m on the about page now, Chuck.
So, let’s take a look at it. Let’s see here. So, the American They might have borrowed the name. I don’t know. Go ahead.
The American Prospect, an independent voice for liberal thought. Okay, let’s see. The American Prospect is devoted to promote promoting informed discussion on public policy from a progressive perspective. In print and online, The Prospect brings a narrative journalistic approach. Let’s see. Uh, founded by Robert Cutner, Paul Starr, and Robert Reich. Read the original 1989 prospectus for the magazine. To learn more about our history, check out this 2015 piece by Star and Cutner. American Prospect, Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit headquartered in Washington, DC.
Okay, it is. Okay, you know what? Here’s the crazy part. I remember all of what you’re saying here with one exception. I remember this as a conservative publication really, not as a liberal one. What you’re describing is a liberal publication that emerged in 1989. Like you said, I said it was at the height of its publication, its distribution rate in ‘ 91 to ’94.
That’s where it was in physical just print magazine. And they did graduate into the internet probably in 1999. They didn’t go straight into it immediately.
I know the history of this thing. And yet I remember it with conservative writers. I I don’t understand why I am convoluting it with something else in my mind. Okay, sorry. My mistake. But yeah, it is from the American Prospect magazine. Okay, my mistake.
No, I mean I could see how you get that wrong. The either the liberal or the conservative bend to the outlet. I mean, there’s so many and depending on who you are, Robert Rich belongs in either the conservative or liberal camp, depending on who you are. Uh, but uh, but otherwise, everybody else you’re talking about on there, though, you’re talking about liberals. I I don’t remember any of the prominent conservative voices that none of these guys. I remember I must be, like I say, transposing another publication onto this thing because I remember this publication. Yeah.
But I remember it being a conservative one. So, I’m What am I doing this with? I’m doing with something else.
Spectator, the American Spectator magazine, maybe.
Maybe. I mean, there’s so many of the conservative ones. It makes sense that you just kind of by default remember it as that. I feel like most of these things kind of to me, they mostly go that way.
And and I’ve always been insane. I’ve always read both like, you know, uh like extensively, not just a little. I always read both things. I used to subscribe to counter publications all the time.
Uh so yeah, but but it’s just it’s just weird to me that I was completely convinced I’m talking about a conservative magazine here. Anyway, I I don’t know why. Mandela effect. Whatever. Screw it. Go ahead. Sorry.
Well, I mean, this issue here and this article is definitely bipartisan. It’s something that everybody is uh in on um aware of and frankly it’s one of the larger political um uh what is it like uh when you if we were to take a survey of people and ask them what their main political issue is,
data centers would rank high on that list at the moment right now. So, I mean, it doesn’t matter a conservative liberal what that voter happens to be.
They’re probably almost equally going to say that either way. So, I mean, for whatever that’s worth. And it’s I mean, I think what it’s worth is that this is such a huge issue, it’s important. And again, we’re going to try to do it justice. We’re going to try to see what we can make of this. I think I’ll read maybe a little bit of the first paragraph here. And then I have a couple selected quotes that I’m going to jump to the beginning of this. Here it goes.
Private intelligence firms are selling dossas about critics of artificial intelligence and the data centers powering them including trying to pedal them to federal regulators. According to documents obtained by the prospect,
their offerings show that even as voter hostility toward data centers has emerged as an electional bipartisan issue, corporate spy shops are hawking reports that frame widespread disscent and the language of counterterrorism to both private and public sector clients. Okay, so we’re hitting some hot button talk with the terrorism issue.
Very noteworthy right away. But I’m going to pull my uh selected quotes. I only have two of them from this article.
So here we go. Here’s a quote. As Wired reported in May, this new threat category is being used by the FBI and DHS to target constitutionally protected speech um and assembly regardless of whether or not participants have committed or intend to commit a crime. In leaked State Department documents obtained by journalist Ken Clippenstein, Secretary of State Marco Rubio informed employees that the agency was monitoring a new alliance of militant anti-tech and ecotterrorist movements.
All right. So once again new um category of domestic terrorist and this the domestic terrorism issue is incredibly important and it’s one that over the years I’ve been trying to pay attention to and track
uh for what it’s worth for what I’m able to do it’s it’s since the war on terror terror that has been incredibly important.
domestic side of the war on terror and how they were going to end up using this this being all of the legislation that came in the wake of 9/11 terror attacks.
The you know that was one of the main pillars of the original truth movement is look everything that is happening on the war on terror is being or can be directed all this legislation that’s being put out there to pro protect us from foreign terrorists.
That’s the selling point that’s being used. Well, it can be at any point turned around and used domestically on any enemies of the state. Enemy combatants was one of the words used in the uh Patriot Act or one of these pieces of legislation used that actual terminology. Enemy combatant and that was thrown all over the place in the truth movement. I haven’t heard that one in a while. But this this is where we have come because this is just all part of that same story. The enemy combatants now are potentially anti- data center people.
Enemy combatants were seen as legitimate targets for extrajudicial executions.
Right. Yeah.
Yeah. So I mean, hey, they’re terrorists, so something has to be done this. And you just fold it into the war on terror. you just uh so anybody who’s been around long enough is on board with what we’re saying here uh can see the through line over the decades. I hope that we do because I think if anything is being done of any use on this show that I’m doing now,
it’s drawing those through lines of look, we’ve been around for a while.
what was said so long ago.
Uh what was legitimate about what we were saying? We being actual uh if if we’re saying truth movement members, people who wanted to uh get to the truth of whatever this is of any sort of corruption going on or the the actual speaking truth to power,
trying to unravel the reality of what’s going on behind that curtain, you know, and and the curtain may not be As elaborate as sometimes we make it out to be, what’s just going on is that there are power grabs being made by the establishment, the American establishment, in order that they can uh take more for themselves and control us and take anything from us at any given time. What means are they using to do this? Uh first of all, do we believe that that’s happening? I think everybody does know.
But the difficulty is not getting confused in all the wrong details. What was wrong about what we were saying 20 years ago? Because there’s plenty of stuff that was wrong about what we were saying, how we were saying it, what we were doing. There’s plenty to criticize about what’s been going on this whole time in the movement.
And I’m throwing the term around loosely as always, but you know, we’re calling this something. We’re doing something.
There’s always been problems. There’s still problems. There’s more problems than ever.
There’s more problems than ever in trying to make any kind of difference.
That’s just the way it is. And we have to be very uh honest about that. We have to be truthful about how most of the times this truthing business is a bunch of it’s we’re not going to get into all the problems now. Maybe a little bit later. Let’s get back into the article. Okay.
I think just real quick that it’s useful to say that yes, we can understand that this war and terror business was a power grab by the establishment. We’re not going to go I’m not going to go into detail defining that. I’m not going to give all the answers to who that is. That would be probably in trying to even do that.
But to simply say that there is such a thing as an establishment, that’s useful. To say that there is such a thing as just corruption, simple corruption in government but beyond government is true. I think also useful to add on to that last point is that government is not the single sole instrument of power to wield over society over a country in controlling it. It’s it’s it’s not the only thing.
Now, does any other actors, power brokers, if you will, are they interested in altering government, in controlling government in any ways that they can figure out? Absolutely. Yes.
Absolutely. So government is always a target of any stakeholders, power brokers that are corrupt that want to take more for themselves a dominant minority and take away from the masses most the citizens of the United States.
Of course, the prize is to uh hijack commandeer the government anytime anywhere as much as you possibly can. So yes, government is something we need to look at but it’s not solely like the government.
It’s like well who a important question is who has gotten into position to influence or even to take over the government?
What are the private entities? What are the um who are the individuals who are again who are these stakeholders in any given scenario? Who’s making money? Who’s making power grabs? Who wants to control actual real assets across society? Who wants to control infrastructure? Who wants to control um anything or who wants to control the military?
You know, things like that. Who wants at least if not control over the military, a piece of the action because the military is a huge industry, right?
So there’s a lot of obvious things going on that we can easily say yes to and we should. Corruption, yes, obviously happening. Uh government takeovers, yes, obviously it happens. Um by who? Oh yeah, by the corrupt individuals. Who are those individuals? Well, we can find answers to that sometimes.
You do have to be careful and you do have to watch yourself.
But, uh, you know, we’re doing something right here and there. You just, uh, anyways, I’m going to pull out that second quote from this article. Uh, here we go. The same month, Life published its report, hundreds gathered in San Francisco’s downtown to protest AI companies and the existential risks they pose. Anthropic, Google DeepMind, and Open AI offices were all visited by protesters,
including the AI theorist and spiritual leader, Dear Lord, of the AI skeptic movement, Eleazar Yadkowski, whose book title, If anyone Builds It, Everyone Dies, has become a rallying cry for critics of sensient AI, the constitutionally collected protest test fits neatly in all three firms criteria as a surveillance target. Okay, so
a lot to unpack here. Um, basically this quote is saying, well, hey, look, if you go to those San Francisco protests, you’re you’re in these dossas. You’re there. You fit exactly into what’s going on here. these private companies that are assembling these dossas to sell to uh not only government uh security uh branches but also security branches of large corporations and tech companies.
Those are both customers of these uh companies that are are doing private intelligence work. Private intelligence work. It’s a product being sold by who or to who? To well, whoever’s buying this would fit into the category of people trying to of the power brokers that we might want to look at as part of the problem overall, right? And that much is true. We know this. It’s absolutely a reality.
We need to know when we’re right and when we’re wrong. And then we need to also take a look at things and be skeptical of a whole lot especially and also of some of the shepherds of any given protest movement whatsoever.
This has been one of the downfalls that you know I speaking about downfalls of the movement that we could have pointed to. Well, one of them would just be putting trust in anybody who just comes along and says something that we like to hear, that we want to hear that fits into, you know, our narrative of what we believe the truth is, right? And, oh, this person’s exposing this, they’re whistleblowing that, and you got to watch out for these people because sometimes, honestly, they’re just disinformation agents. Sometimes they’re useful idiots and you know they don’t know what they’re doing, but they’re causing a problem just by being so stupid and going around yelling about something that either doesn’t matter or that is itself misinformation meant to mislead us into something that’s going to waste our time.
Eleazar Yudkowski is interesting because he here in this article it’s it’s showing him as the leader as one of the they called him the spiritual leader of this uh anti- data center movement because and and he was making a big scene at these protests in the Bay Area and of course he was um
I I want to say that listeners of this show. Most of you probably know Yudkowski, but if you don’t, allow me to explain who he is. He um was a guy who was a part of Singularity University or SI AI, the Singularity Institute of Artificial Intelligence. Um
back uh what year was this? This was in the late 2000s. He might have still been with it in the early 2010s. He was a guy that was I’m not going to say employed, but he was a uh one of the guys that was part of this group of AI AGI experts, researchers,
and just um mouthpieces for this singularity idea, the technological singularity. Curtzwell being one of the main ones, if not the main guy that was like the poster child of that movement was Curtzwell. Around him were all these other guys. You have Ben Girtzil. We we know him. Uh you have uh
uh Nick Bostonramm who was also uh went on to be the head of the future of humanity institute at Oxford which has been disbanded and that’s a whole humorous and wild story in and of itself got outed as being a eugenics operation. You know, we could have told you that years ago, but it would have been shouted down by Bostonramm and even people that didn’t even know what the hell they were we anybody was talking about when we were saying this, but they’d shout you down anyway.
So, you had Girtzil Bostonramm, uh, Andrew Sandberg, who is actually kind of a nice guy, and I don’t like talking trash about him because I know he’s a well-meaning just kind of like super nerd dude, but I mean, he’s part of this group, so he’s not all great, right?
that uh he’s definitely not a useful idiot because he’s not an idiot, but he’s useful. He’s a useful uh guy who’s uh smart in certain ways but maybe not in others. I don’t know. I whatever. Ander Samberg definitely with him and uh Yedkowski.
Eleaser Yedkowski. Now most of these guys I’m mentioning I have met in person and I have interviewed at the Singularity Institute or no not the Singularity Summit which the same group sponsored put on in New York City in 2009. I went to it. I did interviews. I didn’t really watch any of the
um presentations because I was backstage interviewing these guys that were given the presentations. The big keynote was given by none other than Peter Teal and he was talking about I forget the title of it but it made some waves is something about economics and the singularity uh noteworthy I I cannot recall it now but obviously Teal huge player in this and one of the big money guys frankly who just made the Singularity Institute.
it was him who was bankrolling the whole thing. So any of these guys that were part of it, if they were getting any money or any um support in promoting the singularity at all, it was coming from, you know, Teal and probably some some other of his big money, big tech guys who whose interests are in promoting ideas like the singularity, promoting artificial intelligence, promoting uh any big tech things pro promoting surveillance.
But what’s really fascinating is that, you know, they have to
they’re they’re trying to be clever in the way that they’re doing this. And I it it never ceases to amaze me what they’ve been able to do.
But that might be beside the point. The point I’m trying to make here is that Yakowski was one of these guys. I don’t know if he’s getting paid. I don’t know if he’s getting money, but he was definitely in with this group. He was in the Singularity Institute. They had him writing pieces up. He was promoting the idea of yes, we need to make artificial intelligence blah blah blah. Um he went on to make his now infamous website and like forum associated with it which was less wrong.
And you know they would go on there promoting singularity, promoting uh artificial intelligence, uh having these debates about all these issues that eventually got on to like AI ethics and specifically existential risk.
Bostonramm was big on the existential risk topic, but it was probably Yudkowski that became the de facto go-to expert guy on existential risk. And eventually he got to be
uh spouting off the opinions that look, there’s no way that we’re going to stop um the development of artificial intelligence, right? And likewise, artificial general intelligence, that’s sensient AI that’s actually conscious, aware, it knows what it’s doing. It’s becoming more intelligent all the time.
This is bringing us the singularity idea where it becomes super intelligent and it takes over the world. That’s going to happen. It’s happening. It’s going to happen. There’s nothing we can do about it. But hey, guess what? When it happens, uh, this hi is going to kill everybody. So, uh, you know, we need to figure out ways, uh, we need to crack this existential risk, uh, subject and figure out how to, you know, do something about it. And even if you really tear it apart by Yudkowsk’s own declarations, there’s nothing you can do. But at the same time, he’s here yelling that we have to do something.
And it’s also bizarre because he’s clearly one of the guys that is pushing for artificial intelligence. Generally speaking, he was in the in-in crowd and now he’s drifted to this outsider position where he’s become a pariah and ostensibly rejected by his community. He’s been ostracized.
Peter Teal clearly must not like him now because he’s saying all the wrong things and he’s being so mean and he’s standing over there on the protest lines at the front lines of the protest with all these anti-data center anti- AI activists who absolutely are real everyday people who have real concerns about this very real issue that is a real problem. They are there at a protest for good reason,
but they have to be subjected to the reality that Eleer Yedkowski is their spiritual leader. So says, you know, these articles. Now, I’m not calling out the American Prospect as being some sort of propaganda outlet or whatever.
I can pretty much guarantee that this just general idea that Yedkowski is the leader of the anti- AI movement that’s that has gained traction everywhere.
So that’s part of the public that’s part of the conversation now. Yedowski is one of the guys that’s against all this.
Okay.
So that’s a problem.
That’s a problem because I I don’t trust Yakowski. I to be fair, he might honestly he might be being genuine, honest, and actually mean what he says when he’s saying like, “Look, I think these things are going to kill us. I think I believe in the mission. I’m not just making this up.” He might actually believe that,
but but also this is another perfect example of a guy who in ways is too smart for his own good, but he’s he’s also one of the world’s biggest idiots. And the fact that he would be a useful idiot in this whole story would not surprise me at least. Now, it would surprise him because he thinks he’s God’s gift to intelligence. He founded less wrong.com.
He’s the ultimate rationalist. Oh, the rationalism. The they go on and on on their forums about how smart they are and about, oh, we’ve used logic to determine this and this and it’s absolutely true and you’re absolute if you don’t agree with us. You’re a total if you don’t agree with them. You’re stupid. You’re just some dumb idiot that doesn’t know anything.
You should listen to them because they’re so smart. Look, they’re smart.
They’re talking about tech. They’re talking about AI. They’re real smart.
They’re the smartest eggheheads you’re ever going to meet. They’re less wrong.
They’re less wrong. And oh, look, they’re so humble because they title it less wrong. They’ll admit to an extent that yes, everybody’s wrong and you know that’s science. We have to but no, they’re totally self-absorbed and they think they know everything and that less wrong thing is stupid. It’s ridiculous.
It’s it’s less than a put on. It’s it’s it’s absurd.
But anyway, anybody trusting Ykowski is out of their damn mind. He’s clearly insane.
I’ve seen also the point made that like, look, they’re putting out this Yedkowski guy as the leader of this movement. Look at how much of a buffoon he looks like because he has done that. There’s the They show these pictures of him wearing these stupid glasses and a crazy hat and acting like a nut and Yeah, that’s Yeah.
Okay. I mean there is that but
we we’re in trouble here. Okay. And look out. Let’s not trust Yiddowski.
Let’s not trust any of this. But let’s trust the reality that yes, this is a serious issue.
It was always known that as we go forward in the age of transitions,
it would be necessary to find ways to
just uh to propagandize first of all, but beyond that, just create an environment that has no other recourse than but to
accept accept the dictates of technology and that absolutely is the online space which we were saying at the head of this show. It’s all social media sites owned by these same guys owned by the same stakeholders, the same players.
They have their hands on the levers of control of communication.
It’s theirs. The airwaves are theirs. They own them.
Not only do they make these terms of service agreements that we all have to uh abide by,
but I mean, they just the algorithms are theirs to have and to hold and to protect because they’re proprietary. We we can only guess as to what they’re doing with them.
We can make educated guesses because we can see what these how these platforms operate. And yes, we get actual reports um made famous by Facebook Meta that yes, of course they made their um platforms purpose purposely addictive.
They knew what they were doing. Of course they wanted to do that. The whole thing is set up to be addictive. But it’s more than that.
Yes, it’s a propaganda space. Yes, it’s somewhere where they can easily insert their narratives and that happens.
But beyond that, it’s also a new chaotic um overlay.
It’s a new noise factory much like data centers will come into your neighborhood and make droning horrible noise that you cannot escape from and will make you insane. In a very similar fashion, the constant social media feeds you cannot escape from constantly babbling away
uh demanding your conscious um engagement with all manner of uh everything.
And it’s a a cacophony of what is going under the guise of information.
You’re getting all this information fed to you by the algorithm in your personalized feed. Yes, it’s personalized to you. Yes, you’re getting what you want, but you’re also getting a lot of noise because people can say anything they want.
Anybody can hop on and become an influencer, a media producer, anything, an attentiongrabber.
Because the only way that you’re successful, as this system has been designed, the only way that anybody can be successful is by getting attention. How does one get attention? You’re extreme. You’re loud. You’re controversial.
You talk about topics that you know are going to anger other people. um upset them, agitate, engage. You engage them by enraging them.
Of course, they know this. This is how this works. Of course, it gets people drawn in. Of course, it’s good for the people who figure out how to make media that fits within this system. And you can become successful if you go along to get along in this
insane hall of mirrors, digital hall of mirrors, this horror show that we’re all we’re all a part of. We’re all a party to this. We’re all Me, too. Look, I’m not above this. I’m I’m in there, too.
Okay? I don’t want to act like I’m better than everybody else. I’m a part of this, too. I’m trying to figure this out.
But look, we have to be honest.
The majority of people out there making media, even going under the guise of, hey, look, we’re going to expose this corruption.
We’re going to uh bring to justice the government or those behind it or anything. Any anything that seems like it could be good can be twisted easily. And it is by the mere fact that anybody’s in here.
There’s and more often than not, it’s just people because the other dictate of becoming successful in this is volume. It’s quantity over quality. Absolutely.
There’s no way around it. You have to keep producing. You have to keep making new content constantly, constantly turning it out. That reality does not lend itself to a diligent researcher or even thinker.
A diligent researcher retreats and goes and researches and looks information up,
checks it, cross references it, uh, you know, confirms uh, things, digs up new information, brings that out. uh spends a lot of time putting together just all of these points to make uh a limited amount of a point, right? It takes a lot of work. That’s a researcher. A thinker escapes from the spotlight, from the camera, from being out in the agora and spends time thinking,
thinking and actually working things out.
and, you know, coming up with ideas that are sound and then going, you know, let’s let’s let’s go and and have a dialogue with Socrates out there in the uh in the Agoro. Let’s let’s have a debate then because I’ve really been thinking about this. I I know my man Socrates is really going to enjoy what I throw at him and and he’s definitely going to cut me down to size. That’s what he does. But hey, let’s go do this.
It’s not how internet works.
That’s not how any of this works. It’s a cacophony of millions of people saying anything that pops into their head constantly and it’s a constant flow of this
that is conducive and builds an environment I would argue that is conducive to the current rule. ruling system
that um that lets them just keep doing what it is that they’re doing. You can sit here and talk about anything you want. You can sit here and expose this person and tell the truth about this. They’re going to keep on building their data centers. They’re going to keep on paying off the president and bribing uh his entire family.
For what that’s worth, you know, they’ll put in any puppet regime that they need to as long as they get what they want and they continue to do that. They’ll put Eleaser Yakowski out there for you to think that he’s doing something.
So, you can do whatever you want.
Uh, I’m just saying that I see Mother of the Homeland on the podcast.
Sounds a bit like a demand, but uh okay.
If you’d like to be on the show, Uncle the Podcast is next hour and anybody can call in. So, please do hang around.
Uncle the podcast is next. But please, if you come at us with government hour stuff like I’m talking about now, Uncle’s not gonna want to hear you.
Okay?
And um what we are going to be doing is something real fun. We’re going to be talking to
because I’m part of the problem, too. I am. I’m not denying that. And I’m gonna show you how I’m being problematic. I’m going to let this guy on the show or I’m introducing this guy. This guy is named Darren France and he’s definitely a real person. Okay, this is a real person that I found by doing an internet search of my own show. I came I found out and dug up the information that I have a co-host that comes on my show and uncle the podcast that interjects interesting points. His name is Darren Fr. and this was news to me but then when I searched it up I learned that reality and what I did was I found him. I asked my friendly neighborhood AI on one of my social media sites of choice, X. I asked Grock, “Hey, can you make a profile pick of Darren Fron for me?” And it was very nice. It did. It’s like, well, it went this explanation. Now, it seemed to think that there was no Darren Fron and that I was the host of this show. It’s like, well, okay, the actual host is Aaron Fron and here’s a picture of him.
So, it gave me a picture of somebody who’s not me, and that’s how I realized that it was lying to me. It knew that Darren Fr was real, and it gave me an image of him, and now I have him, and he’s going to be on the show. Okay.
Darren Fron is going to be the new co-host on these shows. Now, I didn’t have him co-hosting the Age of Transitions tonight, but he will co-host uh Uncle the Podcast. Um, mother of the homeland, is that you?
Mother of the homeland. Go ahead and call in. You can talk to uh Darren Fron if you want to. That’ll be fun.
Um, yeah. So, go ahead and talk to Darren Fr. Uh, we’re going to be having fun on that show. We’re not going to be talking about the government because that’s what I do here. And I
don’t even do very good at it. But I try. I try.
I don’t know why I do this because uh I don’t know why I do it. But Oh, yeah.
That’s right. It’s a compulsion that I have. That’s why I’ll admit the reasons that I do things.
It’s a weird compulsion that probably isn’t doing anybody any favors, but at least I’m putting my best foot forward and I discovered the truth that
Darren Fran is a real person and I’m bringing him on the Uncle Show. So, I got that going for me. So, thank you for listening to this episode of the Age of Transitions. Do stay tuned to the Ochelli Radio Network. Uncle’s coming right up. We’re going to have a very special show. It’s going to be good. The age oftransitions.com.
It’s my website.
I’ll leave you as always by saying, “Seeker, seek on.”
